About Us!
White Lilly Equestrians has been around since 1776 when Robert & Alberta White first brought their Hanoverians to Glenvale County, looking for a new home. The married couple spent their life savings building what would soon become to be known as White Lilly Equestrians. Robert thought of the name from their surname "White" and the street the property was being built on "Lilly Avenue" it just sounded to perfect to pass up. "White Lilly Equestrians" Before Robert and Alberta even had time to blink their foundation mare WLE: Perfect Melody had given birth to her first filly sired from WLE: Something to talk about. From then out things just kept getting better for Robert and Alberta.
In the year of 1992 the great great grandson of Robert & Alberta purchased a Holstein that had been badly abused by it's previous owners. Gabriel White restored the equines health and got him back into his original state. When the young stallion was fully recovered from his malnurished state, Gabriel began training him from show jumping and so a new bloodline chart began at White Lilly Equestrains. The family now had a Hanoverian bloodline and was starting a Holstein bloodline. The dream Robert & Alberta had hoped for was slowly but surely beginning to unfold beautifully!
Now in 2013 the equestrian center is being run by the great great great great great granddaughter Emily White and her husband Benjamin White. The two are doing a fine job of carrying on the White legacy along with keeping up with both breed registries which Alberta and Robert formed on their own after having a Hanoverian mare with a Gold champagne coat. The breed registry originally formed for Hanoverians refused to accept the gelding even though he fit ALL breed standards so Robert started his own registry and now all Hanoverians/Holsteins on White Lilly are to be registered only with the White's registry and no other. If the horse is bought and is registered then he/she must re registered. Keeping up with all of this is a work load but luckily here at White Lilly Equestrians we have a wonderful staff of whom we are eternally grateful to have around.
